In 1932, Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor created The Four-Way Test. The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:
The test, asks the following questions:
Of the things we think, say or do
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Our vision is focused on helping the community, but we also use our weekly meetings as a learning opportunity. We invite community and cultural leaders to discuss pertinent issues, introduce local resources, and highlight problems that need our attention. In addition, our members represent a rich variety of professional and personal experience that allows for endless networking possibilities. Every meeting is an adventure in expanding our horizons and finding new avenues for service.
